Five years later, Massimo is the leader of the Torricelli crime family. In Warsaw, Laura Biel is unhappy with her relationship with her boyfriend, Martin. Laura celebrates her 29th birthday in Italy with Martin and her best friend Olga however, when Martin comes to Etna without her, she decides to take walks and comes across Massimo who is kidnapping her.
At his villa, Massimo reveals to Laura that she was the one who walked by at the beach five years ago, and when he got injured, all he could think about was his. After searching for years , and finally finding her, he raped her with the intention of keeping her prisoner for 365 days, in the hopes that she will fall in love with him. He promises that he won’t ever touch her without her permission, even if he is physically and sexually aggressive toward her.
As they spend time together, Laura teases him and is then unable to get an intimate relationship with him. In a hotel in Rome then, she begins to tease him again and he then cuffs her to the bed. Massimo makes Laura observe him engaging in sexual intimacy with a different woman. Massimo claims he is trying to penetrate her, but then alters his mind and instructs Laura to dress to attend a nightclub.
In the club, Laura flaunts herself at the club, revealing herself to Massimo and his pals which irritates him. When she begins to engage in flirting with a man belonging to the rival mafia families and he gropes at her, the man gets his hands on her. Massimo draws his weapons and Laura is taken out of the club. In the next morning, she wakes up on a boat to Massimo and his mafioso partner, Mario, arguing. Massimo admits that he shot the man who had groped Laura. This sparked a civil war between the two families. Laura is hesitant to apologize and apologize, but Massimo blames her for the incident. They disagree over the incident, and Laura is swept into the water, and she panics. Massimo is there to help Laura. He confesses that he was concerned that she wouldn’t be able to make it, and he would rather not lose her. Laura starts to fall in love with Massimo and they are seen having sex on a regular basis.
In the night, Massimo and Laura attend a masquerade ball, where a woman known as Anna is threatening Laura. Massimo says to Laura that he was a lover to Anna and threatens Laura with leaving if she met Laura. He made this threat when he saw Laura at the airport.
Following the dinner, Massimo and Laura have sexual relations again. He informs Laura that he’s going to take her to visit her beloved ones in Warsaw and promises to be with her when she finishes her business. He tells her that he loves her.
In the car ride to the airport, Domenico is another of Massimo’s mafiosos tried to reassure a nervous Laura that Anna will not hurt her, but receives a phone call, tells Laura to go to Warsaw and then rushes off.
In Warsaw, Laura waits for Massimo for days without contact. She reconnects with her best friend Olga and they go out clubbing. Martin comes up to her, saying that he’s looking for her to express his regrets. Martin attempts to persuade her to be reconciled and returns to her apartment and finds that Massimo is waiting in awe. Martin departs and Laura and Massimo have sexual relations. When Laura opens his shirt, she sees his wounds from the ongoing conflict. He is stunned to discover that she has fallen in love with him. Massimo proposes to her in the morning and she says yes. But, she demands Massimo to keep his “occupation” hidden from her parents.
Mario informs Massimo that tensions are escalating back in Italy. Laura says she is feeling sick, however she avoids seeing the doctor. She explains to Massimo that she is not allowing her family members to be present at the wedding since she doesn’t want them discover what Massimo does. However, Massimo allows Olga to come as Laura’s bridesmaid. Laura informs Olga that she is pregnant when Olga arrives to visit. Olga urges her to tell Massimo about her pregnancy. Laura calls him and asks him to talk after dinner. Mario receives a phone call from a Torricelli informant, stating that a rival mafia group is about to murder Laura. Laura’s car enters a tunnel but does not leave the tunnel. Mario rushes to find Massimo just as Laura’s call drops. After recognizing the implications, Massimo breaks down. The tunnel’s entrance is shut by a police car.
